About Our Firm Background The firm of Armando C. Ibarra, and its predecessor, Hayman, Bresenoff & Ibarra have been in business since 1974. We represent clients in a broad range of business segments throughout San Diego County and Baja California, Mexico. It also monitors its members to ensure compliance with continuing professional education requirements. Our Team: ARMANDO C. IBARRA, CPA Certification Mr. Armando C. Ibarra is a Certified Public Accountant licensed by the State of California. Present Mr. Ibarra is President of Armando C. Ibarra, CPA - APC (A California Corporation) with over 450 clients. Experience Mr. Ibarra started his career as a controller for a chain of convalescent hospitals. He moved to the firm of Hayman and Bresenoff in 1977 and became partner in 1985. Mr. Ibarra has a strong background in many industries including the Maquiladora industry, where his nationality gives him valuable insight on conducting business in Mexico. In his twenty years in public accounting Mr. Ibarra has developed experience in all areas of accounting such as audit, business consulting and business start-up and financing. He has also developed experience in many phases of the income tax world including complex return preparation, tax audit representation, and tax planning. Academic Credentials Mr. Ibarra holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from National University and an Associate Arts degree in Accounting from San Diego Community College. Achievements Listed in the 1993-1994 as an honored member and Hispanic executive of the year by "Quien es Quien" publishers. In 1998 he was honored by the newspaper "El Informador" as a distinguished professional. Memberships California Society of Certified Public Accountants; Better Business Bureau     ARMANDO IBARRA, JR., CPA, JD Certification Mr. Armando Ibarra, Jr. is a Certified Public Accountant licensed by the State of California. He is a member of the California Society of Certified Public Accountants. Experience Mr. Ibarra has been with this firm since January of 1986. His public accounting experience includes compiling financial statements; preparing federal and state tax returns; coordinating and performing certified audits; microcomputer and accounting software consulting; payroll and sales tax return preparation; and general business consultation. Specifically, Mr. Ibarra has worked extensively with restaurants and this gives him incredible insight on the day to day operations of the food service industry and has made him invaluable to our growing list of restaurant clients. Mr. Ibarra's legal education and background expand the services our firm is able to provide, and offers a unique perspective to his consultation engagements. Mr. Ibarra heads the firm’s internal control and reporting requirements to maintain the firm’s licensure and membership in California Society of Certified Public Accountants. He also heads the firms audit department; which requires him to review all the audits performed by our firm and insure that the audits has been properly performed. Academic Credentials Mr. Ibarra holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from San Diego State University; and a Juries Doctor degree from Thomas Jefferson School of Law.     OSCAR IBARRA Experience Oscar Ibarra is an audit principal. Oscar has over 10 years of experience in public accounting. He has extensive experience in audit fieldwork and financial statement preparation. Oscar has special expertise in working with pubic companies. Aside from auditing, Oscar has developed a broad experience in many areas of public accounting including: financial statement compilation; federal and state tax preparation; and preparation of sales tax and payroll reports. Academic Credentials Oscar graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting in 1998.
